Hábitos de los adolescentes sobre el uso de las redes sociales: caso de estudio en secundarias públicas

Abstract

Hoy en día los adolescentes desean contar con tecnología de punta que les permita estar comunicados a través de Internet, por tal razón, en este artículo se realizó una investigación relacionada con el uso que los alumnos de 3er. Grado de las secundarias públicas en la zona de Ocotlán, Jalisco, le dan a las redes sociales. El objetivo fue determinar cuáles son las que más utilizan, para qué las usan, qué información comparten, si están monitoreados por sus padres o si las emplean como material didáctico para estar en contacto con sus profesores. Posteriormente, se realizan recomendaciones que, tanto padres como profesores, deben tomar en cuenta para que el impacto de las redes sociales en los estudiantes sea positivo y no negativo, además evitar que adquieran una adicción a estas herramientas y detectar si realizan actividades de ciberbullying que los ponga en peligro

Nowadays teenagers want the latest technology at hand to communicate online, for that reason, this paper has conducted an investigation in order to find out which social networks are used by third year junior high school students in Ocotlán, Jalisco. The investigation aims to determinate: how are they using them, why they use them, what kind of information they share, if they are monitored by their parents, whether they are involved in any cyber bullying activities, or if they use social networks to share teaching material or to communicate with their teachers. It will also give advise that both parents and teachers should seriously consider about the impact the social network has on their children so it can be positive for them, avoid them to get addicted to the net and detect if they are involved in harmfull ciberbullying activities
